If I try not to be too overly-critical with myself, I think the delivery of my Lone Wolf Speech went better than I thought. Sure, I blacked out for most of it and I did go over the allotted time, but overall I think it went better than my dry run did. Rehearsing the speech definitely improved my confidence for reading it in front of the class. I was still nervous of course, but I think that having an outline rather than a script to read from was actually beneficial to me for keeping the pacing somewhat consistent. I remember using a few filler words such as “like” or “um”, but it wasn’t as bad as the speeches I gave in the past, so it was an improvement for me. I think that my digital planner as a visual aid helped the engagement for my speech, because it was something the class could potentially use for themselves if they have issues with time management like me. Overall, I think I got my point across and the class seemed mostly engaged with my speech, which are the most important parts to me so I believe it went well.
