In my first paper, there was an instance where I used the language of Tiffany but did not cite her for it in the paragraph. In my second paper, I used past tense on a few verbs that should be present tense in academic papers. Overall, however, I believe that I did fairly well with MLA formatting and grammar. My works cited was correctly formatted in my papers, I always had Times New Roman pt. 12 font, and I always made sure to run my paper through a grammar checker even though it usually didn’t come up with any issues. Sometimes I think I struggle with the overuse of commas, but that wasn’t commented on in any of my papers so I assume it isn’t that large of an issue. The grammar worksheets that we did in class 04/24 really did make me stop and think as I was reading them, which was pretty new to me since I am not used to thinking about my grammar while writing. I think that those kinds of exercises will be helpful to me in future writings.
