In this week’s survey of Glossier’s Instagram page, I saw that many customers are upset with one of Glossier’s products called “You”. This perfume originally had a different formula but it seems the company has changed it, hence the onslaught of backlash from customers. As one comment states, “I love how everyone hates the new formula for this and everything else but Glossier just will not acknowledge it”, the “I love” being a sarcastic form of a call out against the company. Many have noticed Glossier’s lack of acknowledgement, including myself who looked for any comment the company might have responded to about the disappointment in their product but could not find any. It seems that my initial view that the company was very helpful to their customers and encouraged them to reach out if they had any concerns was actually not true, and based on this it seems they don’t listen much to any complaints. I’m curious to see if there will be some sort of public statement on this matter in the coming weeks.
